Some fasting people experience weight gain during the month of Ramadan despite their interruption of eating for long hours during the fasting day, and doctors attribute the weight gain to non-adherence to the type and quantity of food in addition to lack of movement and lethargy after eating breakfast .
Obesity, which poses a threat to human health due to its close association with diabetes, heart disease and cancer, may be one of the most dangerous factors at present.
According to doctors, Ramadan is an ideal opportunity to enjoy a normal weight, by adhering to a healthy diet and not overeating sweets.
And movement is one of the factors that helps to adjust the weight well this month.
On the other hand, nutritionists and experts focus on the role of healthy foods in maintaining a normal weight, as cooking foods in alternative ways, either by boiling, grilling or roasting, reduces the amount of fat that is usually found in Ramadan meals.
In this context, the consultant of therapeutic nutrition and obesity, Dr. Samir Sami, said:
